Clarity before anything else

Answers to common questions about how we work and what to expect.

How long is one session?

Sessions are offered virtually with in-person option in Toronto, and each one is 55 minutes.

How long and how often do I need to see a therapist?

How long depends on what you want to work on. From a neuroscience perspective, therapy leverages neuroplasticity to help rewire negative thought patterns and surface unconscious ones. Research suggests it takes about 3 months to see meaningful changes in behaviour and thinking. Clinically, studies show psychotherapy is as effective as antidepressant medication after 3-6 months of consistent treatment. I offer weekly or bi-weekly sessions, depending on what fits best.

What are the approaches/modalities that you use?

I consider myself an integrative clinician, grounded in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural approaches. This means we'll explore your unconscious thoughts and attachment patterns, as well as how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours connect. I also use feedback-informed treatment, tracking data and trends together to tailor your plan toward your SMART goals.

What is your rate and can I claim insurance with your receipt?

Currently, the rate is CAD 100 / session. Receipts are accepted by most major insurance companies in Canada.

How much will I be involved in the process?

Therapy works best as a collaboration. In other words, therapy isn't something I do to you; it's something we build together. You decide what we focus on and we shape the goals together. Much of the real shift happens between sessions, in everyday moments.

Supporting ambitious, driven millennials who want to make sense of what they feel, not just push through it.

Our generation's challenges have made us resourceful and resilient. They were never meant to be faced alone.

High Expectation

Productivity is part of our identity

setting lofty, often unrealistic goals, for ourselves and others

feeling obligated to say yes, difficult to say no

believing that other people expect us to be perfect

Our sense of worth becomes conditional on output, on others' approval, rather than stable.

Negative Feedback Loop

We are creatures of habit

it starts with a distorted or negative automatic thought, then we get stuck in the loop

our brain favors familiar, well-worn neural pathways

over time, we keep repeating the same thinking/behavioural patterns

Instead of accepting the cycle, with the right approach, we can work together to break it.

Major Life Events

We learn, grow, build, lose, mourn, move on

life happens and curveballs show up

questioning and needing more clarity about important life choices

new life stages/chapters, such as becoming a parent or immigrating

Major life events are inevitable and they can be very overwhelming - support is here.
